Where this comes from
NEWPROTEST Writer is made by NEWPROTEST Publishing, an independent press in Olympia, Washington. We’re readers first, and we noticed the manuscripts we loved all started somewhere quiet. So we built the quiet place, and then we opened it to everybody.
We publish spiritual narratives that live just to the side of religion and self-help. Plenty of writers here are working on exactly that. Plenty aren’t. They’re writing novels, memoirs, family histories, and books that don’t have a shelf yet. The studio looks at both.
